Dr. Mandy Thompson has been a Texan for all but three years of her life. She grew up in a small town outside of Lubbock as the daughter and granddaughter of farmers and her first job was hoeing weeds at the farm. She received her Bachelor of Science at Texas Tech University and attended Medical School at UT Health Science Center at Houston. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She resides in McKinney and has two fur baby Schnoodles, Maci and Luna, who keep her entertained with their antics. Dr. Thompson is also an avid scuba diver and enjoys underwater photography, and has completed over 850 dives in oceans across the world.
Dr. Thompson strives to offer her patients optimal care. She is dedicated to working with each patient in an effort to achieve his or her own unique set of goals – from alleviating pain to promoting healthy aging and preventing future potential diseases. Coupled with her medical training, Dr. Thompson’s background in healthcare allows her to provide compassionate, humanistic care and professional advocacy to her patients to enhance their comfort in both out-patient and acute hospital settings.
